Salt

I use a salt to stabilize my mood. I can taste salt in every spoonful of cookie dough that I've been shoveling down my throat for the last 24 hours. Or maybe I'm confusing that source of salt with my tears..

Yesterday I got a letter:
"A request for cancellation of temple sealing has been submitted by your former spouse. After carefully reviewing the matter, we have canceled the temple sealing..........."
There are a million things I'd like to say... to address... to expose... Many of them I already have. But in the end, clearly it doesn't matter. I don't get to have a say.

Two and a half years later, a wound that is continually reopened by the very person who inflicted it, gets a thorough dousing of salt.

And the sacred bond that I gave up everything for hangs broken; Noah and I solely intact.

  1. Oh my friend, I am so sorry :( I hate seeing you hurt Caley, we all do. Please don't stop believing in happy endings or in a man that can offer you all that THAT temple marriage was meant to give you. It will come, and you will realize more than most the sweetness of a true temple covenant marriage. You're in my prayers. Much love--Beth
